GOOD QUAILTY, FAST SHIPPING I WILL BUY MY NEXT HOLSTER HERE
White Hat is the best!!!!!
I purchased the j clips to minimize the visual appearance of the over the belt plastic clips. I really like how they are a bit longer than my old clips, from the screw hole to the first bend. I have to mount them one hole down on the holster compared to my old clips, but it allows me to tuck my shirt in more and has less risk of coming untucked now. When the j clips are fully hooked under my belt, they do exactly what I had hoped for, however, I do wish the clips were about an inch shorter from bend to bend. When the top bend is resting on the top of my pants due to the weight of my holster/gun, the clips hang almost completely below my 1.5" belt. That makes them stand out pretty easily. My max tuck is very comfortable since the horse hyde broke in, and thank you very much for the replacement kydex, even after 3 years of use.
After struggling with metal hooks for some time now i finally decided to get a pair of "J-Hooks". Wow... what a difference. They slip over the pants easily and hook the belt but are hardly visible, unlike the metal ones. Also, at the end of the day it is much easier to remove the holster. No more struggling to pull the metal clip away from the belt. I carry every day and I'm hooked on "J-Hooks". Thanks "White Hat" for such great products.
These clips work exactly as advertised. Barely visible.
I have tried all 3 of the clip designs and I like the J-hooks the best. I have them on both of my Maxtuck White Hat holsters.
Recently I had purchased a Maxtuck IWB and really like it. I replaced the stock pant clips with the Kydex J-hook. I really like the way that these hooks git over the pant and catch the belt for a really secure and comfortable feel. If White Hat makes a shabby product I have yet to find it.
I was a bit worried about the Kydex not holding up but I've had these for about two months and have had no issues with them. I feel that the gun and holster is more secure and it completely eliminated the issue of pulling out the holster when drawing the gun. In my opinion putting the holster on is also much easier with the J-Hooks and there is no "wear and tear" on the belt.
So in an earlier review I discussed how I loved my Microtuck IWB holster, but as I would practice my draw about 25-50% of the time the entire holster would come with it; not something I want to be dealing with IF that moment we're to arise.
The J-Hook Kydex Clips made by White Hat were the answer to my prayers. An easy switch from the standard ones because WHH was smart enough to use a flathead bolt. While I always carry my Leatherman Wave, I tested a theory and dug into my pocket and pulled out some change. In case you don't have a multi-tool on you, a dime or penny can be used to loosen/ tighten the screws. Nice to have that option in a pinch. Now back to the clips. The J hooks slide over the pants and under the belt keeping the holster right where I want it. Upon testing my draw from a concealed carry just behind my hip the holster stays in place 100% of the time!!! I've probably sent 100+ rounds down range in 3 shot groups so let's say I've drawn from CC 30+ times not including dry practice. So far so good. I highly recommend the J hooks, and if WHH comes up with a new version I'd trust them to only be improving on a already excellent product.
Thanks so much to everybody at WHH. There are A LOT of options out there for holsters so I'm grateful for not being that guy who has a box full of holsters that didn't work for him. One shot one kill when it came to my microtuck. You guys are the best and customer service is top notch. Thanks again for making a quality American product.
